I think there was a camping/fishing trip being planned for next weekened at Karr's Part on Merritt Island. You can't get in without a Kennedy Space Center Pass. Those with the pass can bring up to 10 guests with them.
I stopped by Yesterday to check it out..talked with the guard. Gate on Hall Road opens around 6 a.m. and is locked at 10 p.m. The person with the pass has to excort guests into the park just past the second guard station. The guard recommended on of the sections right on the water where we could camp and keep the kayaks for launching.
With the forums being moved around I have no idea if this trip is still on or not....ANYONE OUT THERE!!!! LOL

Thats the plan, I will be there Thursday night with master blaster and will be there until Sunday afternoon, weather permitting. I think its gonna be good weather though after this crap blows through. As far as getting people in, we are probably going to need the guys with passes to send out their numbers to the attendees so we can get them in.
On that note, shadowcaster, can i get the email list for the space coast folks. i havent seen or heard from Vik in a while so I figure I am gonna try to get this club rolling as we are off to a slow start. |

Caleb, what we did in the past is get a list of who is coming and who they are staying with, what campsite and get that out to everyone. That way, when you arrive at the gate, you can tell the guard who you are with. What's the word on the weather. Friday they are calling for NE 15 -25kts.

So, what is the final answer? Saturday Northeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 5 to 6 feet. Sunday East winds around 10 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet.

| it look crappy still so, we are moving the camp out to Long Point park near sebastian. Its 19 a night with elec. and water and as of right now they only have internal sites left for the weekend. But it should not be a problem finding someone to let us drag the kayaks through their campsite, (sites are pretty big). This move is based upon the winds being out of the east and north east all weekend. We will be able to fish a little better with the land blocking some wind and preventing large chop. If your going CALL LONG POINT NOW!!!! See you there |

I will go for the Sebastian. It is wind "protected" and we don't have to wonder if the NMZ will be open or not.
Just let me know so I can make reservations. If you want call me 407-702-7501.
