I'd like to start a list of lures, bait, whatever, that people use and have found to work good or not work at catching fish. It would really help out the fish challenged like myself and mabye open up new ideas to the experienced anglers. What did you use on what fish and what were the water and weather conditions like that day if you remember.

Here is a list of what I would consider must haves:
1) Saltwater Chug Bug - Chartruese/Chrome (Med. Size-2 3/4" I think)
2) Mirrolure Mirrodine 17mr-EC for dark water (docks and down south)
3) Mirrolure Mirrodine 17mr-49 for the flats in Tampa Bay
4) DOA 1/4 oz. shrimp in glow and rootbeer - also get Cajun Thunder corks for use with them.
5) 4" Curly tail grubs in white, chartruese, rootbeer, and gold w/ 1/16 oz and 1/8 oz jigheads. Old stand by lures for sure.
6) Gulp shrimp 3" New Penny
There are lots of baits I am leaving out. I know DOA jerkbaits will come up from someone for sure. Try baits until you find something that makes you feel confident. I really believe you will work a bait harder and present it better if you think it works. |

Walking the dog is moving it in a little zig-zag, right? Yeah, I'm clueless.

Storm Chug Bug in Char/Chrome DOA 4" jerkbaits in Greenback, Arkansas Glow, and White w/ Pink Tail
It's only $25.00. If you fish inshore anywhere in Florida, you have NO EXCUSE not to belong to CCA!

I've been way off. I'm seeing alot of dark colors here. I always thought the brighter the better, so the fish could see it and all that.

| Can Berkley Gulps be saved and used again? The label says not to put them back in the package. The first one I tied on is now dry and shriveled. |

Jay, I have a small bottle that I store all my gulps. When I'm done I put them back in that bottle. If you leave them out they do shrink up, but I have heard if you put them back in some water they will regain there original size.

I'm thinkin they say not to put them back in the bag so you'll have to buy more.

I read or heard somewhere that if you put gulps back in the original bag the water in them causes the other unused baits to start deteriorating(breaking down like they do when in the water) thus loosing part of the scent they are famous for when you go to use them. I figured it cant be much so I still reuse mine. But might get me an old perscription bottle to put my used and maybe new ones in in the future.
